I'm new to PC gaming and I'm struggling to achieve more than 60 FPS on my system, even with DLSS 4.5 enabled. I've tried tweaking the Nvidia settings but haven't seen any improvement. My setup includes a Ryzen 9 5950X, an RTX 5070, and 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. I'm gaming at 1440p on an Acer Nitro monitor, and I'm wondering if I'm experiencing a bottleneck or if there's something else I can try. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try completely uninstalling your drivers and then reinstalling them. Messing with the control panel settings is usually unnecessary. Just adjusting the in-game settings should give you higher FPS, especially if you're aiming for around 300 FPS at 1440p with upscaling. If you're going for 4K ultra settings, you might need a better graphics card though.
It sounds like you might have your monitor connected to the motherboard instead of the graphics card. Check the back of your PC and make sure the display port cable is plugged into the GPU. That's a common mistake that can limit your FPS significantly!
I double-checked, and I'm definitely plugged into the GPU with a DP cable.
What's the refresh rate of your monitor? That can really impact your gaming experience.
My monitor has a 240Hz refresh rate.

That's what I expected since I thought I could reach around 200-300 FPS at 1440. I'm not trying to game at 4K, but my FPS won’t go above 68.
