Hey everyone! I'm selling my 4060 laptop to build a new desktop PC after a long break from building. I've got most of my parts figured out, but I'm stuck between the Gigabyte Windforce 5070 Ti ($829 at Microcenter) and a cheaper Asus Tuf or PNY 5070 (around $250 less). I'm mainly playing games on my TV, targeting 4K at 60fps or 1440p at 120fps. I've heard that with DLSS and frame generation, I could manage ultra ray tracing settings, but I'm unsure if the 5070 would cut it for 4K60 without frame gen. Do you guys think I should just go for the 5070 Ti? I might also end up getting a nice OLED monitor down the line, but that's just a thought right now.

Definitely go for the 5070 Ti if 4K gaming is a priority for you. But don't forget to check out benchmarks between the two GPUs to see if the performance jump is worth the price difference.
The 5070 Ti will help you maintain better frame rates, especially for 4K. If you're into VRAM-heavy games now or in the future, it's a more future-proof investment for sure!
Exactly! It’s all about making sure your setup can keep up with future games.
Honestly, if you're aiming for 4K60 or high settings at 1440p, the 5070 Ti is definitely the way to go. It has more VRAM and better overall performance, which can be crucial for future games.
Totally agree! With only 12GB on the 5070, you might struggle with newer titles at 4K. Go for the Ti if you can swing it.
It really depends on your gaming style. If you're into titles that push the limits of VRAM or plan to keep this PC for several years, splurging on the 5070 Ti seems smart. Cheaping out might save you some bucks now, but you could regret it later!
Yeah, the games will only get more demanding, so the Ti might be worth it in the long run.
Good call! Seeing real-world benchmarks can really help make that decision clearer.
