Should I go for the cheaper Zotac 5090 or the ASUS ROG Astral 5090?

I'm about to treat myself to a high-end gaming build after years of budget setups, and I'm torn between two graphics cards: the ASUS ROG Astral 5090 and the Zotac 5090 Solid OC. The Zotac is 16% cheaper and comes with a 5-year warranty versus the 3 years from ASUS. The thing is, I've always had great experiences with Zotac in the past, but I'm worried about potential overheating issues and fan noise with the 5090, especially since I live in a hot climate where room temperatures can hit 45°C (113°F). Some people have mentioned that the Astral offers features I might not care about since the PC will be out of sight, but I'm really looking for solid performance and reliability. Can anyone give me advice on which card to choose or help weigh the pros and cons?

Honestly, I'd just go for the Zotac. In my experience, buying a cheaper card with the same GPU doesn't usually mean you’ll lose out on quality. ASUS products have given me a lot of trouble in the past due to their cheap fans and design, so I'd avoid the Astral.

If price is key, the Astral's extra features aren't worth the premium unless money isn't an issue for you. Many users find that the cheapest 5090s perform just as well, and if you’re considering custom cooling, check compatibility with the card.
Also, adding a simple amperage clamp can help monitor cable issues so you can stay safe while saving some cash!

If you go for the Astral 5090, you'll get a card with solid design features, like four fans and the ability to connect more directly. It can run cool and quiet when idle, plus it measures power usage which can help with any power spikes. Just keep in mind, it’s pretty hefty, weighing nearly 3kg!

At the end of the day, if you’ve got the budget for the Astral, it could be worth it for peace of mind, but the Zotac will likely perform just fine. If you're really worried about overheating, maybe consider additional cooling options for the Zotac to be safe, especially with your weather conditions.

Astral cards have some hardware protection against 12V cable melting, which could be a plus. But honestly, if you're not worried about aesthetics and just want performance, the extra cost over the Zotac might not be justified.
