Should I Go for the RX 9070 XT or the Non-XT Version?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide between the RX 9070 and the 9070 XT. There's about a $70 price difference between them. The 9070 consumes 220 watts while the 9070 XT draws 330 watts. I'm planning to game at 1080p, and while I know both cards are capable of 1440p, I've noticed that they struggle to hit 60 fps in many new games. My goal is to play on a monitor with over 120 Hz refresh rate, and I really don't want to have to buy a new monitor. Which one would you recommend?

I'm not sure where you're seeing the 9070 XT not hitting 60 fps at 1440p. Honestly, both cards are way more than enough for 1080p gaming. If you're looking to future-proof your setup, grab the better one!

I think I might be looking at benchmarks where they're running full ray tracing. Still, it's good to know both will do fine for 1080p!

I'm also Team XT here! Sure, the non-XT might be more efficient, and you can overclock it, but the XT can be even more powerful if pushed. $70 is totally worth the extra performance in my opinion!

If there's just a $70 difference, I'd say go for the 9070 XT without a doubt. It's worth that extra cash!

Not hitting 60 fps at 1080p? Where are you getting that info? Both cards should perform well for 1080p gaming!

Honestly, just get whichever card is cheaper for 1080p. It's a solid choice either way!

Go with the 9070 XT. If you're gaming seriously, power savings won't matter much unless your GPU is constantly on. I have the XT myself, and I can hit around 100 fps at 1440p in most games without ray tracing. It's a beast!
