Should I go with 2x16GB or 4x8GB RAM for my Ryzen PC?

I'm building a budget PC with a GTX 1650 Super OC that I got from a friend. I'm trying to decide whether to buy 2x8GB of RAM now and add another 2x8GB later or to just go for 2x16GB right away. Ultimately, I want 32GB in total and I'm using a Ryzen 5 5500. What do you suggest?

It kind of depends on your setup. Since you're using a Ryzen 5 5500, make sure to check how it handles RAM configurations. Quad-channel support isn't a thing for most consumer boards, so 2x sticks would generally be more reliable.

Got it! Thanks for the tip. I'll stick with fewer sticks to avoid issues.

Opting for 2x16GB is definitely the better choice if you're aiming for 32GB of RAM. Having 4 sticks can be pretty tricky to manage, so keep it simple with the 2 sticks.
