Should I go with air cooling or an AIO cooler for my i7 14700 KF?

Hey everyone! I'm about to install an i7 14700 KF processor in my new setup with a Z790 ASUS PRIME-A motherboard and a 5060 Ti 16 GB GPU from ASUS. My case is a Fractal Design Focus G, which can only fit a 240mm or 280mm AIO cooler. I'm thinking a 240mm might be a bit small for this CPU. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the best cooling option here! The 280mm AIO seems pricey at around 70 GBP in the UK but comes with a solid 6-year warranty from ARCTIC. If I can't find a good solution, I might consider a different case and go for three 120mm fans instead. Please bear with me, as I'm not a pro and this is my first PC build!

Honestly, just get the biggest Arctic AIO that fits in your case. They offer great value, and with that 6-year warranty, it's hard to go wrong. Also, don't forget to update your BIOS to prevent any issues with your CPU. It’s really important!

What do you mean by updating the BIOS? Can you explain that a bit more?

A 280mm AIO cooler should work perfectly for the i7 14700 KF. It might run slightly warm, but it shouldn't thermal throttle or significantly lose performance during use.

If you're just using the i7 14700 KF for everyday tasks, you might not need the AIO. The Thermalright PA120 is a solid option and costs about half as much as a 240mm AIO. It's just as effective!
