Hey everyone! I have a bit of a dilemma. I got a HP ZBook Power G10 laptop from my college for €1000, but to keep it, I'd need to pay an extra deposit of about €300. I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or sell it back to the college. It seems like a good deal, but I'm also wondering if I could find something better with the money I'd get back. I don't have specific needs, just a reliable laptop with good battery life for work, and I do enjoy playing some power-intensive games occasionally. What do you all think?

Honestly, if you pay the deposit and maybe upgrade the hard drive, you could easily get 5 years of use out of it. It already has decent RAM, so it sounds like a good deal for you!
From what I see, it has 6GB of dedicated VRAM, but that's not ideal for gaming since the GPU isn't primarily designed for that and may not have the best drivers. For €1300 total, you could find much better gaming laptops on sale. Here's a link to a solid option: [link]. But it really comes down to what you need it for—if you’re okay with its performance for professional tasks, it might still be a decent choice!
Thanks for the heads-up! Do you think the laptop you mentioned has good battery life when not gaming?
Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely consider upgrading the hard drive!
