Should I Learn AWS or React?

Hey everyone! I'm in my 4th year at a tier 3 college. I've learned Spring Boot and completed some full-stack projects, but I don't know much about React—I mostly copied it from AI and don't find it interesting. I'm trying to decide whether I should invest my time in learning React or if I should focus on AWS and microservices instead. What do you all think?

I think you should focus on building your programming skills overall. React and AWS serve different purposes, but knowing how to actually code is essential for getting a job.

AWS and React are pretty different. From what I've seen, cloud services like AWS are often handled by more experienced developers. For junior roles, employers may want to see foundational skills first. React can be important too, but if you’re not interested, maybe focus on backend skills and see where that takes you.

But I’ve been told that learning AWS could give me an edge, especially since I've got some Spring Boot experience. Still, React seems time-consuming because I need to master JavaScript first—I'm not sure what to prioritize.

Learning AWS can be quite a journey since it covers a ton of different services. If you think mastering React is hard, AWS might surprise you with its complexity. When choosing what to focus on, consider which parts of AWS or React will align better with your career goals.

I’m just trying to understand the basics—should I stick to backend development or dive into learning React?
