I'm considering my options for certifications to enhance my resume for junior roles in IT. I've heard that while the CCNA is a more respected and advanced certification, it might be seen as overkill if I'm applying for entry-level positions. There's some talk that having a certification that's too advanced could raise red flags for recruiters. So, would it be better for me to go for the CCNA, or should I start with the Network+? Am I worrying too much about this?

From my perspective, the CCNA looks great on a resume, especially for networking positions, but it might not matter much for general IT roles. Recruiters are now more interested in cloud certifications, so balance could be key. If you’re planning on leaning into cloud tech later, you might want to consider the AZ104 as well.

That’s interesting! I’m also debating between CCNA and AZ104 for my career path. Maybe I’ll lean towards the cloud cert after starting with CCNA.
