I'm considering whether to replace my current M.2 1TB WD Green Gen 4 SSD in my gaming and editing PC build. Here's my setup: Intel i7 14700KF, Z790M Gigabyte WiFi7 motherboard, 32GB (2x16GB) Viper RGB RAM at 6000Hz, RTX 5070Ti ASUS 16GB GPU, cooler is a Astroshel 360M, and a 850W Thermali Gold PSU. A friend of mine mentioned that this SSD might not be compatible or fast enough compared to other components. What do you think?

For editing, having a fast storage option is key. While SSDs are the go-to for speed, remember that having additional storage drives can also be a good Plan B. Rather than replacing what you have, think about adding more storage if you can.
You don’t really need to replace the NVMe drive unless you're facing speed issues. They're generally quick enough for most tasks, so you might be fine sticking with what you have.
Before you think about replacing your SSD, can you share if you're experiencing any specific issues with your computer?
Not sure what 'Thermali' is, but if it's not on the PSU tier list, you might want to consider a different one. In 2026, you'll need solid reasons to stick with Intel CPUs. Also, it'd help to know how you intend to use the PC for better advice!
I'm looking to use it mainly for gaming and some video editing.

I'm not having problems but I'm considering this build and my friend thinks the M.2 1TB WD Green Gen 4 is weak for my setup.
