I'm building my first gaming PC and opted for the Phanteks XT Pro Ultra case. I've heard that the included fans can be pretty loud, which is why I bought four additional 120mm **be quiet!** Pure Wings 3 fans. However, I realized too late that they are 120mm while the case comes with 140mm fans. I'm wondering if I should replace the original fans, add the new ones alongside, or return the fans I bought. I'm quite new to this whole PC building thing, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, it seems a bit silly to buy a budget case like the XT Pro Ultra and then spend extra cash on fan swaps. You could just stick with the fans already in the case, or you could have saved some money by going for a different case altogether that either has quality fans or none at all if you're looking for something cheaper. Something like the Lian Li Lancool 207 would perform way better, and it's usually less expensive than getting the XT Pro Ultra with those extra fans. Might want to think about that!

I totally get the budget constraints! I thought I was being clever getting a cheaper case to save money, but now I’m questioning if it was the best move. What's your take on fan performance specifically?
