I recently bought a pre-built PC and noticed that some expanding foam leaked from a bag and dried on two of the CPU fans. I'm stuck deciding whether to return the PC for it to be fixed or to try and clean it myself. I sent an email to the store to check on my warranty in case I need to return it. If I do attempt to clean it, what would be the best method? Would acetone or isopropyl alcohol work? Any advice would be appreciated!

Definitely avoid using acetone on plastic—it can damage it! If you're unsure about the foam and how it leaked, it'd be safer to return it. You never know what else might have been affected inside.

Thanks for the tip! I'll wait for the vendor's response before making any moves. Cleaning that foam looks like a real pain!
