I've recently bought a prebuilt gaming PC from Costco that comes with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an RTX 5070 for $1500. However, I've also put together a custom build from Microcenter that features a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a 9070XT, totaling just over $1600. My main use will be gaming, and I'm looking for advice on whether to keep the prebuilt system or go with my custom build.

Without a doubt, the 7800X3D with the 9070XT is the way to go. The processor is fierce and the graphics card outshines the RTX 5070 easily!
Definitely go for the 7800X3D with the 9070XT! It's a fantastic combo, and the performance boost you get from the newer GPU is totally worth it.
For sure! The performance advantage is significant.
You might want to consider selling the RTX 5070 and getting the 9070XT instead. It could keep your overall costs manageable while still giving you an upgrade. You’ve already spent quite a bit on the Microcenter build, so it might be a smart move!
Great suggestion! I could squeeze that in and still come out ahead!
That's a clever way to approach it!

Do you really think the price difference makes that much impact?
