I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 6700 XT, mostly gaming at 1080p but I'm planning to make the jump to 1440p. I'm trying to decide if I should invest more into the AM4 platform or just go all in on AM5. I don't have a strict budget, so I'm not looking to cut corners, but I also want to avoid overpaying. I'm focused on finding a good balance between performance and price while keeping things future-proof. I'm leaning towards rebuilding with AM5, but I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Choosing AM5 is definitely the way to go, my friend!
How much RAM are you currently using? It's worth considering since it can impact your upgrade choices.
I have 16GB at the moment.
If you decide to stick with AM4, a Ryzen 7 5800 XT is a solid choice. The 5700X3D and 5800X3D are great options for gaming too, but they come with a higher price tag. The 5800 XT can handle 1440p gaming decently, depending on your GPU and the games you play. But for long-term performance, moving to AM5 could mean going for a Ryzen 7 7800 X3D, which is competitively priced right now. Just keep in mind that DDR5 RAM prices are still pretty steep!
Yeah, I was looking for a good lifespan from the PC too, around 3-5 years would be ideal. And the RAM prices totally confused me when I checked the market!
Honestly, if your budget allows, go for AM5. There's really no downside to upgrading to the latest platform.
Haha, I keep trying to convince myself that too!

Looks like AM5 is getting a lot of love!
