Hey everyone! I'm currently using an AM5 motherboard and I'm looking to upgrade my RAM, but as you probably know, RAM prices can be pretty high. I'm wondering whether I should switch to an AM4 setup to save some cash, or just stick with AM5 and invest in some DDR5 RAM instead. What do you all think?

If you’re thinking about switching to AM4, how would you actually save money? Selling your current motherboard, RAM, and CPU could help finance the move, but it seems like a hassle.
Good point! But wouldn't I be losing out on future upgrades?
Honestly, I'd recommend sticking with AM5. It's better for future upgrades, and you might find a good deal on DDR5 RAM if you keep an eye on sales. I usually check eBay for discounts on RAM.

Exactly! If I sold my current setup, I could afford AM4 components and maybe even have some cash left over for other upgrades.
