Hey folks! I just put together my new PC and decided on the RTX 5070 because it was a good deal at €575. However, I found an offer for the RX 9070 at €590, and I'm torn on whether I should return the 5070 and go for the 9070 instead. I'm upgrading from a 1660 Ti and moving my resolution up from 1080p to 1440p. What do you think I should do?

Honestly, I’d go for the RX 9070. It’s about 10% faster and has 16GB of VRAM, making it a more powerful card overall. Plus, it’s got better performance in gaming scenarios compared to the RTX 5070.
UserBenchmark isn’t the most reliable source for performance comparisons. Be sure to check out actual gameplay benchmarks before making your decision. They tend to give a more accurate picture of performance.
If you don't mind sticking with the 5070, it’s still a great card, and unless you really need the performance boost, the difference might not be huge. But if you're leaning towards better performance in future games, consider switching to the 9070.
The RTX 5070 might score better on UserBenchmark, but if you check actual in-game performance, the RX 9070 often takes the lead in most titles. Just keep in mind that while the 9070 performs slightly better, it doesn’t shine as much with ray tracing and upscaling. If those features are important to you, the 5070 might still be a solid choice.
