I'm currently using a GTX 1080 and I've received an offer from someone on Facebook Marketplace to trade it for an RX 6600 XT. Is this a good move? What are your thoughts on this trade?

Dude, I wouldn't sell that legendary GTX 1080! It's a classic and collectors love those cards!
Honestly, it could be a great idea! Just consider what the guy needs it for. If he’s using it for video editing or something that requires CUDA, then it seems like a decent trade. If he just wants an Nvidia card without any solid reason, I'd hesitate a bit.
I'd definitely recommend testing the RX 6600 XT before making the trade. It's a pretty good upgrade overall, but you want to make sure everything is working properly!
It's kind of odd that the other guy wants a 1080 instead of a 6600 XT. I'd definitely want to know why he's making the switch. Sounds a bit suspicious to me!
I hear you, but coming from a 290 owner, I'm leaning towards AMD now. It's a good performance upgrade, but I get where you're coming from. Stick with what works for you!

I felt the same way at first, but he actually agreed to show up and test both cards, so that should help ease concerns.
