I just reinstalled the Gigabyte Control Center for better RGB control on my PC, and it says my SSD's health status is "poor." I've only had this SSD for less than a year, so I'm concerned. I'm wondering if there are ways to take better care of my SSD or if I should be worried about the diagnosis. I'm feeling skeptical about trusting Gigabyte's assessment, especially given the way it keeps suggesting I install a lot of extra software and drivers for my hardware, including a Norton antivirus, which has me a bit on edge. Any advice?

If you want a solid tool, Kingston has their own app for monitoring SSD health. I'd trust that more than the Gigabyte software. It’s always best to go straight to the source when it comes to these things.
Glad to hear the first couple of comments helped! Just to add, regular high temperatures, power surges, or too many write cycles can damage SSDs over time. Keeping it cool and well-maintained is key!
You should definitely check out Crystal Disk Info and Crystal Disk Mark to see the actual health and speed of your SSD. Those tools are pretty reliable for diagnosing drive issues.

Exactly! Also, check the SSD manufacturer's website for any specific tools they have. Since it’s under a year old, you should still be covered by warranty. And make sure to back up your data just in case!
