Hey everyone! I'm about to set up my new Gigabyte B650E AORUS Elite X AX Ice motherboard with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. Before I dive into the build, I'm curious if anyone knows which BIOS version typically comes pre-installed on these boards, especially those bought in late 2025. Is it already good to go for Ryzen 9000 CPUs, specifically the 9800X3D, or will I need to update the BIOS using Q-Flash Plus before my first boot?

Updating the BIOS isn't critical, but it's definitely a good idea to have the latest version. Most likely, the board will support the 9800X3D straight out of the box. I'd suggest trying it first with the pre-installed BIOS. If it doesn't boot, you can use Q-Flash Plus to update it. If it does boot, go ahead and update once you're in the BIOS.
Check the box label; it often shows the currently flashed BIOS version. You can compare that with the motherboard’s CPU support list to see if it'll work with the 9800X3D without an update. But whether it boots or not, just trying it first is a solid plan, and you can always update with Q-Flash if needed.
It really depends on where you purchase it from. For example, Newegg usually ships with a fairly up-to-date BIOS, but there's no guarantee. I would definitely recommend updating to the latest stable BIOS before you install your CPU just to cover all bases.
