I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700X as my CPU and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to the 5700X3D. The performance increase seems minimal, especially since I'm mainly gaming. Would you recommend making this upgrade now, or should I save my money for a complete switch to the AM5 platform down the line? For reference, my current setup includes an RX 6950 XT Speedster, 64GB of Kingston Fury Renegade RAM, an MSI B550M-A Pro motherboard, and I'm gaming at 1440p with a 200hz refresh rate.

I agree with waiting for AM5. I'm happy with my current performance and will probably hold out for the next big thing. Plus, it seems that AM6 is on the horizon, so that might be worth considering.
Current prices are just too high for the 5700X3D. You might see minor improvements depending on the games you’re playing, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, look into a new platform if you want a meaningful boost.
Honestly, it's not worth it. The 5700X3D is priced incredibly high right now. If you don’t already have one, it's better to save for an entire AM5 upgrade. You'll get much better value in the long run.
In my experience, upgrading just for a slight boost isn’t worth it unless the chip is affordable. If it was cheaper I’d be more inclined to say go for it, but the current market is just not conducive to that.
It really depends on your current performance. If your 5700X isn’t limiting your gaming experience, then there's no rush. That being said, if you can find the 5700X3D at a discount, it might be a decent sidegrade, especially for games that benefit from extra cache.
