Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a 5070Ti for gaming at 1440p, especially AAA and FPS titles. Right now, I'm debating whether to stick with my current AM4 setup or upgrade to AM5. I know I'll need a new processor and possibly an 850W PSU. But since I have a mini ITX case, the cost of a full AM5 upgrade is a bit daunting. I've been feeling limited by my old 3060Ti in games like COD and BF6, and I want to avoid bottlenecking the 5070Ti. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

If upgrading to AM5 isn't in your plans, the 5700X3D or 5800X3D is your best option. But honestly, if you have the budget for the 5070Ti now, grab it! You can always upgrade your system later when you have the funds. Many users, including me, are already running 32GB of DDR5 memory at 6000MHz for that extra boost.
Honestly, I think you'll be fine with what you've got. My 9070XT runs on a similar build, and I only upgraded to a 750W Thermaltake Gold PSU. If anything, consider boosting your RAM to 32GB at around 3600 speed. With the performance leap from the 5070Ti, you'll definitely notice a big upgrade. You can always move to AM5 later for an extra increase in performance!
AMD has phased out a lot of the AM4 chips, so pricing can be tricky. The 5800X3D is often going for around $300. You might find that getting a combo of an AM5 motherboard, RAM, and CPU could end up being more cost-effective than going for the 5800X3D.
If you're sticking with AM4, any CPU upgrade, except for the 5700X3D or 5800X3D, might bottleneck the 5070Ti a bit. Why not try the new GPU with your current setup and see how it performs? If you're not satisfied, look into getting an AM4 X3D chip for a cost-effective upgrade. It's worth noting that BF6 tends to perform better on Intel or AM5 setups, though. An 850W PSU should be plenty for your needs, so you should be good there!
Is a 750W PSU okay for this setup?
What about considering a 5600X since the 5700X3D and 5800X3D are hard to find?

Yeah, I've seen those prices spike recently.
