I've got an RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB and I'm currently using an i5-12400F. I'm wondering if it's worth considering an upgrade for my CPU or if I should stick with what I have for now.

Upgrading might not be necessary right now. I had the i5-12400F with a 5070, and it performed well at 1440p, rarely bottlenecking. I only upgraded to an i7-14600K for a few CPU-heavy games. Stick with your setup for now unless you start noticing serious performance issues!
I’m mostly playing online and some story-driven games, too. In single-player, I don’t aim for super high FPS, but I’ve heard even some folks with weaker GPUs get better FPS than I do in competitive games. Is a CPU upgrade worth it for just a 40 FPS increase?
