Should I Upgrade My CPU or GPU?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC on a budget of around 520 CAD (about 380 USD). Right now, I have a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with a 2070 and I'm gaming at 1080p, but I might switch to a 1440p monitor in the future. Should I invest in upgrading my CPU and go for 32GB of RAM, or should I just upgrade my GPU? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Your CPU is actually pretty solid for gaming, so I would recommend focusing on upgrading your GPU first. Maybe look for options like the NVIDIA 4070 or the AMD 7700XT if you can find them on sale or second-hand, as those would give you a nice boost in performance. After that, you could think about moving to a 5000 series CPU and getting 32GB of RAM in the future.

If those GPUs are out of your budget, have you considered something like a 5060? It could be a nice middle-ground option for your setup without breaking the bank. Just make sure to check performance reviews to see if it fits your needs!
