Should I Upgrade My CPU or Motherboard? Also, Why Does My PC Crash When I Use Expo?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU or motherboard, and I'd love your advice. Here are my specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9700X (Zen 5)
- GPU: PNY RTX 5070 Ti
- RAM: 64GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance (4 sticks)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650

I ran into an issue where my PC crashes after booting when I try enabling EXPO or XMP in BIOS and increasing the Hz, but now I found out that my RAM isn't on the QVL for my motherboard, which explains the crashes. I'm in the return window for all my components and headed to Microcenter tomorrow for more storage. Should I consider buying a better motherboard or CPU instead? I mainly play Iracing and am planning to build a triple monitor setup for games like Call of Duty and Minecraft.

Honestly, you have pretty current parts already, so upgrading might not really give you a significant boost. EXPO can be tricky; not every RAM setup is guaranteed to work perfectly at high speeds without some manual tuning. You might just need to leave it as is unless you're facing performance issues in your games.

That makes sense. I just learned about needing the QVL list after I built my PC, which is why my RAM wouldn’t overclock properly. I’m still considering what to do since I have to make a return soon.
