I'm considering whether to upgrade parts of my current PC or just go for a completely new build. I've been playing games on low settings for decent FPS, but I've started noticing some lag and stuttering lately. My GPU usually runs at max capacity, and I'm trying to figure out if I should just get a new graphics card or save up for a whole new system. Here's my current setup: Intel Core i9-9900K CPU, NZXT Kraken X73 cooler, Asus Prime Z390-A motherboard, 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO RAM, MSI GeForce RTX 2070 GPU, and an EVGA 600 BR power supply. What do you think would be the best route to take?

Honestly, I wouldn't bother upgrading much else. The PC market is tough right now, and with components like memory prices soaring, you might be better off just investing in a new GPU. Your RTX 2070 is becoming outdated, and a newer card will bring you improvements like better DLSS support. Don't wait too long, as prices will likely continue to climb! Good luck with your decision!
You could pull off a GPU upgrade for a bit longer, but that’s just a short-term fix. If you want to keep playing without interruptions, definitely look into a new graphics card! Just keep in mind that this is temporary, and a complete new build might be on your horizon soon.
If you're hitting 100% usage on your GPU and experiencing lag, it definitely sounds like you need a stronger graphics card. I'd suggest looking into a used RTX 3070 if you're on a budget, or maybe even a new RTX 5070 if you can spend a little more. Both options should pair well with your i9-9900K without causing bottlenecks. It's important to act quickly since GPU prices are fluctuating a lot right now!
Yeah, I'm also considering the 3070 or 3070 Ti. I just want to get back to gaming smoothly!

He’s totally right; waiting could cost you more in the long run.
