Should I Upgrade My Old PC or Build a New One?

I currently have a PC setup with a Ryzen 5 3600X, GeForce GTX 1660 Super (6GB), Asus PRIME B450-Plus motherboard, and 32GB DDR4 RAM. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700X and an RTX 4070 Ti. I'm curious if this upgrade would allow me to play games like Space Marine 2 and Subnautica 2 at around 60fps, as I'm not a hardcore gamer. Additionally, I'm wondering if this setup would be sufficient for rendering tasks in Blender or if it would be better to just build a completely new PC.

How much are you spending on that GPU? When considering the CPU, check for the best deals on the 5700X, 5800X, or 5800XT. And don't forget to update your BIOS before installing your new CPU!

Upgrading will definitely work for Space Marine 2. You'll be good to go!

Your upgrade plan sounds solid! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5800X3D with a 9070XT, and I'm not looking to upgrade anytime soon. I think the Ryzen 7 5700X paired with an RTX 4070 Ti will serve you well. Just make sure to update your BIOS before you install the new components!

Absolutely, that upgrade should handle 1440p gaming just fine!

It's surprising to see so many people still using GTX cards! By the way, can your current setup even get 30fps in Space Marine 2?
