I built my computer in 2020, and it's still running really well for the most part. However, I've noticed that the minimum requirements for new games have caught up with my setup, making my CPU and GPU the bare minimum for some of the more demanding titles. I'm wondering if it's worth it to upgrade now or if I should hold off until prices come down, especially since newer components like DDR5 are quite pricey. Also, could anyone share suggestions for improving my current specs without spending too much? Here are my specs:
- CPU: Intel I7 9700k
- CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100x
- Motherboard: MSI Z390-A PRO
- RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz
- GPU: MSI 2070 Super 8GB
- Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU
- OS: Windows 11
- SSD: 860 EVO 1TB
- HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB

If you're happy with how your PC performs right now, I'd say stick with it! Don't get too caught up in the numbers. If it runs the games you want to play, then just enjoy it for a bit longer.

Thanks! I’m content for now, but just wanted to see if there are any upgrades that would be cost-effective since the system is approaching six years old.
