Should I Upgrade My PC or Build a New One?

Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble playing the new Oblivion remaster on my current setup. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, B450M mortar motherboard, 16 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super. I'm considering options like upgrading the GPU, adding more RAM, upgrading the CPU, or even just building an entirely new system. My power supply is an 850-watt Coolermaster RM 850X, and I'm looking to keep costs around 1000 EUR/USD. Any suggestions?

If you're considering a completely new build, I found some good options. For about $1334, you can build a new system, or for around $1003, you can upgrade your current one. Personally, I’d just buy a new one to avoid compatibility headaches!

I’d go for a well-rounded upgrade: maybe a Ryzen 5700X3D with an additional 16 GB of RAM along with an upgrade to a GPU like the 5070. That setup will keep you going for a while!

What’s your PSU wattage? If it’s solid (like your 850 watts), you're in a good spot for new GPU options. But honestly, if you’re looking to play newer games comfortably, consider upgrading both your RAM and GPU. It’ll make a noticeable difference!

Yeah, it’s 850 watts!

I'd definitely recommend upgrading your GPU first. The GTX 1660 Super is getting a bit old for newer titles. If you want a great balance of performance and cost, check out something like the RX 6600. It’ll give you a huge boost for your gaming experience!
