I'm currently using a system with an Intel Core i5-4590 CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 1.82 TB HDD, and a SSD. My graphics card is an AMD Radeon R9 380. I'm debating whether to upgrade certain components or just start over completely with a new build. What do you think I should do?

Actually, it depends on your budget. I have an i7-4790 with an RX 6500 XT and it handles most games, but not the latest AAA titles. If you have more than €150 to spend, I'd recommend starting fresh instead.

If you're looking for something more powerful, consider a prebuilt. I upgraded from a similar setup and found a water-cooled i5 with a 4060 for about $600. Upgradability is key, and it might not be worth putting more money into your current parts.

Honestly, it seems like starting fresh is the way to go. You're not going to see much of a performance boost from upgrades on your current setup. DDR3 systems have pretty much hit their limit.

Figured that was the outcome.... thanks for the input!

Why not turn this PC into a homelab server? That way, you can start over for your main rig without wasting your current hardware.
