I'm from Singapore and I got my first PC as a prebuilt from Aftershock. It ran great for the first year, but lately I've been struggling with newer games, especially when it comes to achieving higher FPS. I'm considering an upgrade but I've come across opinions suggesting that prebuilts often cut corners on parts, and that I could get better performance if I built my own PC with the same budget. Here's the catch: I don't know much about PC components, and the idea of building one myself feels a bit daunting. Ultimately, I just want a system that can run modern games smoothly. So I'm looking for advice—should I upgrade my current setup, buy another prebuilt, or take a leap and build my own? Here are my current specs: CPU: Intel i5-12400F, GPU: RTX 3060 12GB, Motherboard: Gigabyte B660M DS3H AX, RAM: 32GB DDR4 4000MHz, Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD + 2TB HDD + 2TB SSD, PSU: 850W 80+ Gold, Cooling: Aftershock M-40V2, Case: Aftershock Rapid Mesh.

Consider getting a GPU like the AMD 9060XT 16GB for a solid performance boost, which shouldn't break the bank at around $300-500. If you're thinking about a new CPU, though, your current one is still making the cut—it's fine for now!
I'd recommend upgrading your GPU. Your CPU is decent enough, and you shouldn't need to buy a new computer just yet. A new graphics card should significantly improve your gaming experience.
For the best bang for your buck, upgrading to a GPU like the RTX 4070 Super or even a 5070 could be what you need. Your CPU is starting to age, so if you pair it with a powerful GPU, it may create a bottleneck. If you want serious upgrades, you'll eventually need a new motherboard and RAM too, but for now just a GPU upgrade should be good.

Any recommendations for a good 5070 Ti and compatible CPU?
