Should I upgrade my PSU for a new GPU?

I'm planning to upgrade to a 9070 XT GPU from my current GTX 1070, but I'm unsure if I need to upgrade my power supply unit (PSU). My current setup includes a Corsair 650 watt PSU, an i5-12600k CPU, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, a Samsung 980 pro 1TB storage, and a Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX motherboard. I've read that it's wise to have about 150 watts of headroom, and while PC Part Picker suggests I'm okay at around 600 watts, I want to know if I should invest in a 750 watt PSU or if my 650 watt one will be sufficient since I'm not planning any upgrades for a while after this.

Personally, I would definitely upgrade. While some folks get by with lower wattage PSUs, having reliable and stable power is crucial, especially for a high-performance GPU. A 750 watt PSU gives you that extra headroom, which is always comforting. If you can swing it, I recommend getting a high-quality one, like a Corsair RM850x. You'll have peace of mind and more flexibility for future upgrades if needed!

Ok got it. That does make sense, people talk about this GPU needing clean power delivery too so I guess that makes sense. If I get one I’ll probably pick one up along with my GPU. Thanks for the quick advice!
