Should I Upgrade My RAM or CPU First for Better Performance?

I'm currently using an RTX 3080 (which I upgraded from an RX 6600 XT) paired with a Ryzen 5 5600 and a single 16GB stick of DDR4 RAM. I think I might have made a mistake with the GPU upgrade since I'm experiencing both CPU and RAM bottlenecks. Given the types of games I usually play, I haven't noticed a significant performance boost. Now that I have some funds available, I can only afford to upgrade either the CPU or add another stick of RAM. What should I prioritize for a noticeable performance increase?

Definitely go for the second stick of RAM first! Adding dual-channel memory can really boost your system's performance, especially in gaming.

Consider getting another identical RAM stick to activate dual channel. After that, you might want to look for a Ryzen 5600, 5600X, or even 5700X at a good price for a CPU upgrade.

I'd recommend getting dual channel memory as well. It's a great way to maximize your RAM's potential before considering a CPU upgrade.
