Should I Upgrade My RAM to Two Sticks of DDR5?

I'm not super experienced with building or upgrading PCs, but I've got a quick question. A friend gave me two free sticks of DDR5 8GB 6000MHz Kingston Fury RAM after he upgraded his setup. Currently, my PC has a single stick of RAM running at 5200MHz. I'm wondering if switching out my single stick for his two sticks would impact my performance in any way. My motherboard is an 8B1D Version 11, so I'd appreciate any advice on whether this upgrade is a good idea! Thanks!

Check to see if your motherboard recognizes the higher speed of the new RAM sticks. You might need to adjust settings in your BIOS. But honestly, since you're going from one stick to two, even if they run at 5200MHz, you're going to notice an improvement just from having more RAM combined.

You should definitely remove your single stick and add those two sticks in, using the A2 and B2 slots if it's applicable on your motherboard. Also, if you have the EXPO option in your BIOS, make sure to enable that to get the most out of your new RAM.
