Should I Upgrade My Storage on an Older PC?

I'm thinking about adding more storage to my 4-year-old PC since I'm interested in recording gameplay videos. I already have a 1TB SSD, but I find myself running out of space because I have so many games. I'm considering getting a 6TB HDD that's really cheap, but I'm worried it might be a scam. I also want to avoid Samsung products because of their recent RAM shortages. Is it worth investing in more storage for my setup?

I wouldn't recommend getting an HDD for gaming in 2025. SSDs are way better for performance, especially with newer titles.

If you're running out of storage, then absolutely! Plus, you can always transfer the drives to your next PC when you upgrade, so it's a solid investment.

If you're mainly storing older and emulated games or videos, an HDD could be okay. But for newer games, I highly suggest sticking with SSDs since they load much faster. Consider how you'll use the videos too; SSDs are generally better for editing.

Would an HDD work well for storing and editing videos, though?

Yeah, more storage is always a good idea! It's one of those things that's always worth it, no matter the age of the PC.

Definitely worth it! I'd recommend going for an SSD if you can, since many games nowadays have issues loading from HDDs. Plus, your loading times will be much faster.
