Should I upgrade to a 9060xt or 9070xt while on a budget?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 3600 and can't afford to build a new PC right now. I mostly play CS2 and have a few other titles like Battlefield 6 and Cyberpunk on my wishlist. I found a 9060xt with 16GB for $479, while the 9070xt costs about $720. I'm in a bit of a financial tight spot and am wondering if it's worth investing in a new GPU right now or if I should hold off especially since my current GPU is a 1650s, which I'm a little hesitant to mention due to possible ridicule.

If you're tight on cash, it might be better to hold off on spending big bucks on a new GPU right now. Why not try playing those upcoming games with your current setup first? You can find benchmarks that show how your 1650s performs with those games. If you're okay with the performance, you might not even need to upgrade immediately. Those GPU options won't disappear, so it might be best to save your money and focus on other priorities for now.

Just a heads-up, if you're really committed to getting the 9070, you might need to upgrade your CPU as well, as your Ryzen 3600 could bottleneck performance. Maybe look out for some Black Friday deals and buy when you're financially more comfortable. Your current GPU isn't going to fall off the planet, so no rush!

Honestly, unless your current setup is really holding you back, I’d hold off. My old 1070ti runs Cyberpunk just fine with ray tracing off and some settings tweaked, hitting a nice 60fps at 1440p. Are you sure you need the new card right now?
