Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade the GPU in my old office PC, but GPUs aren't cheap where I live. I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth it to buy something less powerful than a GTX 1080 right now or if I should just save up for something better. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely check benchmarks for the games you're interested in. If you're only playing at 1080p, you'll need to see how the GPU you're considering handles those specific titles. Many lower-end cards may struggle, especially with newer games which demand more power. But, if you find a good deal on something like an RX 570 or RX 580, it could make a huge difference in performance compared to integrated graphics.
Absolutely! As long as your system supports it, an upgrade from integrated graphics to a dedicated GPU like that will be a massive boost!
In my experience, waiting is sometimes the better option if you're aiming for something solid. I had a GTX 1070 for a while, and it coped well with games like Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2. Just make sure to consider your current setup and whether it's worth investing in a lower-end GPU or if saving for better options is the way to go.
It really depends on the price you're seeing and what kind of hardware you're currently using. If your setup is older and you're not playing demanding games, you might get by with something like a GTX 750Ti or RX 460 for lighter titles. Just keep in mind that more recent games might not perform well on older cards like the GTX 10 series since they're getting up there in age.

Yeah, I found an RX 570 for a great price and it's been a game changer for me. Just make sure your PSU can handle it, especially if you're coming from integrated graphics.
