Should I Upgrade to a Used RX 6900 XT for $325?

Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my GPU and would love your advice. Currently, I have an ASRock RX 6800 Phantom Gaming, which I bought last year for about $290 USD. Here's my setup: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 CPU, Thermaltake Dual Tower cooler, MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi motherboard, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB SSD, and I game mostly at 1440p, getting decent FPS with FSR 3.1. I'm looking at a used RX 6900 XT reference model for $325. If I make the swap, I plan to sell my 6800 for the same price I paid. I'm weighing the benefits—like a potential 20% increase in FPS and the ability to play at 4K against some downsides, such as increased noise and slightly higher power consumption. Aesthetically, I don't really care. What do you think? Should I go for the upgrade or stick with what I have? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like a solid deal! You could undervolt the 6900 XT to reduce power consumption and noise, which might actually improve its performance. Also, keep in mind that tweaking your memory settings could help boost your CPU's performance, too. I’d definitely explore undervolting options for the 6900 XT.

Thanks for the tips! I'm using DDR5 6400 and realized I could adjust the uclk:mclk ratio to improve things. I’ll definitely stress test after that change!
