I've been using a Ryzen 3300X with a 1660 Super since 2020, and I'm finally ready to upgrade my PC. I mainly play games like CS2, Dota, FIFA, and Football Manager, so I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU. I've looked for the Ryzen 5700X3D, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, not even second-hand. I'm wondering if I should go for the new AM5 platform or just get a Ryzen 5700X. Is there any chance AMD will release new AM4 CPUs to celebrate the platform's 10th anniversary?

It really depends on your budget. If you can swing the AM5, I would totally recommend going that route. It's more future-proof and offers better performance overall.
Your decision also hinges on your budget. Have you checked out the prices for Intel's LGA1700? You can get an i5-14600KF and a compatible motherboard for just under $300, which might be a great value compared to the AM5 setup.
If you have around $300, the Ryzen 5700X is a solid choice. I upgraded from a 3300X to a 5700X3D and it made a noticeable difference in games, especially in Football Manager. But honestly, availability might be a challenge for the 5700X3D right now.
