I'm currently using a Ryzen 5700X with an RX 7700 XT and I'm considering my options for an upgrade. The Ryzen 5700X3D is quite pricey these days, so I'm debating whether to get the Ryzen 5700X3D paired with a 16GB RTX 5060 Ti or just stick with my Ryzen 5700X and go for the RX 9070. A friend mentioned that his Ryzen 7500F is bottlenecking the RX 9070, which got me worried about my CPU's ability to keep up. Since most of my games are GPU-intensive, particularly at 1440P, I'm wondering if having a stronger GPU is a better choice. Should I match my CPU to the GPU I plan to use?

I'm in a similar situation! I have a Ryzen 5900X paired with an RX 9070 XT and I'm feeling the same regret. I'm planning to just go ahead and buy a new Ryzen 5800X3D for around $475; hopefully that won't bottleneck my system.
If you're looking to stay with the AM4 socket, consider the pricing of the 5700X3D. You might be able to snag an AM5 bundle with a 7600X3D, RAM, and a motherboard for around $350 to $400, which could be a good investment in the long run.
That sounds interesting! Where have you seen that bundle for that price?
Even if there's a slight bottleneck with the Ryzen 5700X, the RX 9070 will still outperform the RTX 5060 Ti. It's worth considering the better GPU for future-proofing your setup.

That's a solid plan! You might also consider selling your current CPU, RAM, and motherboard to help offset the cost. You could potentially upgrade to a 7800X3D with 32GB of 6000MHz RAM and a good B650 motherboard for about the same price.
