I currently have an i7 8700k with a 3060ti and 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3200. Unfortunately, my motherboard just failed, and a repair shop suggested upgrading to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Micro Center has a bundle deal on this processor right now, and I'm wondering if it's a smart move to buy it, especially since I plan to upgrade my GPU down the line.

If your focus is on non-graphic-intensive games, that combo should work well together. Just make sure your 3060ti doesn't bottleneck the CPU. A little research wouldn't hurt!
Yep, snag that deal! Once you're ready to upgrade your GPU, going for something like a 5070ti or 9070xt will really enhance your gaming experience.
Absolutely, go for it! That setup will serve you well for future upgrades.
It really depends on what kind of games you're playing. If you're into competitive shooters like Fortnite or COD, you might not see a huge benefit. But for CPU-heavy single-player games, the upgrade could be worthwhile. Just consider your gaming preferences!
I mostly play COD, Minecraft, and Assetto Corsa.
