I built my current rig about a year ago with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI motherboard, and 64GB of G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000. Recently, I've been facing some stability issues traced back to a faulty RAM stick that I've sent back for RMA. While I'm down to 32GB right now, I've been able to use EXPO speeds without issues. Once I get the new stick back, would it be wise to run all 4 sticks again, or should I sell the extra RAM and stick with 32GB until prices drop? I'm also wondering if running 4 sticks at 6000MHz is really that risky for stability.

From what I've seen, DDR5 tends to be more stable with just 2 DIMMs. Running 4 sticks can lead to complications, especially in a Ryzen setup. If you don't absolutely need the extra speed, maybe stick with 32GB for now? You can always upgrade later when RAM prices are better.
Honestly, why not test it out once the RMA comes back? If it’s unstable, you can always clock it back to 5600MHz. Just make sure your workload requires the RAM you’re using—if you’re just gaming, 32GB is likely sufficient. Plus, you could cash in on the current high RAM prices if you decide to sell!
You might not get the full speeds with 4 sticks. Generally, 2 is a safer bet for stability on Ryzen systems. If you’re looking for more capacity without stressing over speed, the 4 sticks are fine as long as you’re okay with possibly running at slightly lower speeds.

Exactly! If you're mainly gaming and not running memory-intensive apps, dropping to 32GB could save you cash in the long run.
