I'm trying to figure out the best time to use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) when reinstalling Windows. I usually assume that I wouldn't have any drivers after a fresh install, but I had previously installed AMD drivers on my D Drive. Will that impact how I should use DDU?

You generally want to use DDU before you reinstall Windows. This will help ensure that any leftover drivers from your previous installation are fully removed. As for your AMD drivers, even if they were installed on a different drive, the system should still recognize them unless you wipe that drive too. So don’t stress about that too much!
I didn’t know you could install drivers on a non-boot drive either. Usually, the Adrenaline installer just puts the driver files in the right place itself, so whether it’s on your D Drive or not shouldn’t cause issues with reinstalling Windows.
If you’re worried about it, just run DDU before you reinstall. That way, whether the drivers were on your D Drive or not, you can start fresh without any potential conflicts. It’s a good practice!
