My friend is having a tough time with games like Battlefield, and he's currently using a Ryzen 3600 CPU paired with a 3060 Ti GPU. He's hitting 100% CPU usage in Battlefield, so I was thinking he should upgrade to a 5800 XT. But now I'm wondering if it might be better for him to upgrade to a 5060 Ti at 1440p instead. What do you all think he should do?

If his CPU is hitting 100% usage, then upgrading the GPU might not help much since the CPU is bottlenecking performance. I'd recommend upgrading the CPU first. Also, check what motherboard he has; older ones might be limited to PCIe 3.0, which could affect performance with new components.

Isn't there no difference between PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 performance-wise?
