I just received my new motherboard, but I noticed that the M.2 screw is missing. Is this normal? I couldn't find it anywhere, and I thought it would come pre-installed. Also, I didn't use the thermal pad for the SSD, which is where the NVMe drive goes.

It's actually pretty common for motherboards to have missing screws sometimes. Often, the M.2 screws come in a small bag with extra standoffs, or they might be included with your M.2 SSD instead. If you can’t find it, you can easily buy a spare from Amazon. There's also a helpful article about this issue that you might want to check out.
