Should the PSU fan be spinning on my new PC?

I built a new PC last week using a Fractal Terra case and have been tuning the temperatures of my CPU and case fans. However, I've noticed that the PSU fan hasn't spun at all. My PC is sitting on a table, and I've checked multiple times with the side panel open; the PSU fan is not moving. The idle temperature for the system is around 54°C, which I've been told is normal for my setup (9900X CPU with NH-L12S cooler). I'm curious if the PSU fan not spinning is okay because 54°C might be too low for it to activate. But I'm also wondering if having the fan on could help keep temperatures lower overall. Any thoughts?

Most modern PSUs have a 0 RPM mode, meaning the fan won't turn on until the load rises above a certain threshold. It’s actually better for the fan not to run all the time—it can help prolong the lifespan of your components. If you prefer having the fan always on, consider getting a PSU that has a manual switch for that purpose. They usually stay cooler and last longer with some airflow, especially in smaller cases like ITX setups.

Does the Corsair 850 Platinum have a switch for that? I think having the fan running would definitely help in an ITX case.
