I recently built my first PC, and I'm having an issue where I can't get into the BIOS setup. When I reach the initial BIOS screen, pressing the Delete key doesn't seem to work, and I'm stuck on a screen that gives me a Yes/No option or the Delete option. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B850 WiFi 7. I was able to figure things out eventually by guessing, but I wish to know what went wrong!

Make sure to plug your keyboard into a different USB port. If you're using an older keyboard, that might be the issue. It’s worth trying a known working keyboard too!
Is there a red light showing on your PC? That could be an indicator of something else going wrong during the build. Just something to consider as you troubleshoot!
If it's the VGA light, you might want to check your GPU connections or whether your graphics card is seated properly.
Sometimes pressing F12 for the boot options will present you with a setup menu to access the BIOS. Give that a go!
I tried pressing F12, but nothing happened. It seems like the steps can differ based on the motherboard model.
You could remove your hard drive or SSD; this forces the PC to go into the BIOS directly. Just a heads up in case you need a last resort!
I might have to try that since I'm running out of time before my exam!
Double-check if it’s really the Delete key you should be using. For some Gigabyte boards, trying F2 could also let you into the BIOS setup.
Thanks! I'm using the Gigabyte B850 Eagle WiFi 7, so I’ll give F2 a shot.

Yeah, I had to do that with my setup too. Sometimes the USB ports can be a bit finicky—definitely worth testing out!
