Struggling to Connect New Modem to WiFi – Help Needed!

Hey everyone! I recently got a notification from Xfinity that my modem was outdated and unable to support my internet speed, so I ordered a new Arris Surfboard S33, which is on the list of approved devices. I followed the instructions to swap it out and connect it to my existing TP Link WiFi router, but now I can't get any of my devices to connect to WiFi. Xfinity says we're online, but the connection isn't working. After a couple of hours of frustration, I decided to reconnect my old modem, which had been working fine before, but now I can't connect to WiFi with that either. I'm really confused and need some guidance on what I'm missing!

It sounds like you might need to connect your computer directly to the new modem using an Ethernet cable to check the internet connection. Once you're connected, you can then link the router back to the modem. Make sure to look for the network name and sign in. If you're still having issues, it could be a good idea to reach out to your ISP for more help. Sometimes, outdated routers or firmware could cause connectivity issues.

I totally get that! If your router is older, that could be a problem. But what’s confusing is if you’re having troubles now with the old modem too. It might be worth checking if you need to update anything.
