I've recently launched a SaaS EHR platform and am focusing on onboarding new customers. A big part of this process involves email and text reminders for appointments. Although I've been using a number of AWS services like IAM, Bedrock, KMS, Lambda, S3, and Cognito, I've repeatedly faced denials when trying to access SES and SMS services, as well as EUM and Pinpoint. Despite submitting extensive documentation and detailed descriptions, I've been rejected each time without much explanation, citing security concerns. To keep things moving, I've turned to Mailgun for email services, which is working fine, but now I'm looking for alternatives for SMS reminders. I'm wondering if anyone has successfully navigated this situation? The only thing I can think of is that my domain is quite new, around six months old.

Have you tried reaching out to your AWS Point of Contact (PDM) if you have one? They can sometimes help expedite these types of requests or shed some light on why the denials are happening. I know it can be tough when you're a smaller company just starting out and focusing on building your app.

I totally get it. Our startup faced similar issues when we were just starting out with AWS. Unfortunately, I think you might need to hit a spending threshold to access dedicated support. Hang in there!
