Struggling to Get My Programs Running After Switching to Ubuntu

I recently installed Ubuntu and I'm having a tough time opening my applications and files. I've made sure to back everything up and am checking if they work, but it seems like nothing is opening properly. For instance, when I try to run Dolphin emulator (dolphin.exe), it doesn't launch at all. This is happening with all folders as well. My browser data isn't recognized either, which is a bummer. Sometimes, I even get an error saying "this folder cannot be copied because you don't have permission."

Also, I'm trying to download apps like Flameshot from the software store, but when I click install, it feels like nothing happens. Can anyone help me figure this out?

You might want to spend a bit of time getting familiar with Linux basics. Check the documentation on Ubuntu's homepage; it has all sorts of beginner guides.

Just remember, Linux isn't a direct replacement for Windows. As for your browser data, once you run the browser on Linux, it should just work. It’s unclear what you mean by data not being recognized—could you specify?

By data, I mean my bookmarks and extensions. Would downloading Wine help recover my saved browser data?
