Struggling to Get My Team on Board with New Tech Changes

I've been working at a hospital for about six years. I started as a Level 2 desktop technician, and now I'm the endpoint administrator alongside a senior colleague. We're transitioning from Active Directory to Intune and discontinuing one of our management tools. I've conducted three one-hour training sessions to explain these changes, but it seems like no one is really grasping the information. I've even written over 30 knowledge base articles, yet the team still isn't understanding. Is anyone else facing similar challenges? How do you manage these situations?

You’ve taken on a lot of responsibility here. It might be time for a hard cut to force everyone to adapt. You can’t carry the team forever! Just approach it like a project—if they sink or swim, that's not all on you.

Sometimes you gotta let them fend for themselves! If you're always there to catch them, they won't have the motivation to learn. Maybe start pointing them to your documentation more and see if that helps. If they keep asking questions that are already answered, let them sit on it for a bit. They'll need to figure things out on their own.

Congrats on becoming the go-to expert! It sounds like you've really stepped up in your role. Just remember, sometimes people only start paying attention when they have to deal with the consequences directly. You might need to give them a little push to make them realize the importance of the new system.

I totally understand your frustration! I feel that pain too. Sometimes it just doesn't get better until you find a new job. If you've had enough, it might be time to put in your notice and move on to something more rewarding!

Engaging training is key! If no one is getting it, maybe the way you're presenting the material needs to change. It might also be a case of people being disengaged or just thinking it's not their issue. Consider revamping your training materials.
